• Agromin Soil Sprouts Lettuce for School Cafeterias
    Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 8:42 AM

  • Agromin, producer of premium soils, has provided organic soil and four different varieties of lettuce seeds to Buena Park High's ag students to plant and harvest. The fresh produce will be served at the Fullerton Joint Union High School District's cafeterias.

The students are planting the seeds 4-6 rows at a time so the harvest is continuous. Shown planting romaine seeds are Michelle Iniguez (in black) and Sonia Ramirez  (in blue) and the first germinating plants.
