  • After six months of planning, Boy Scout Dylan Lassich was ready to get started on his Eagle Scout project at Monte Vista Middle School in Camarillo. His project consisted of building four large planter boxes to be used by the special education department at the school. He rounded up 35 volunteers (that's a lot!). They first removed six 4' x 4' rotted planter boxes and dismantled them. Then, the group went to work making the new boxes and filing them with Agromin mulch. They spread wood chips around the boxes to finish things off. During these past six months,

Dylan learned much about being a leader, raising funds and acquiring donations for his project. A job well done Dylan!
