• Agromin Compost Give-Away at City of Oxnard's Earth Day
    Monday, March 28, 2016 at

  • Mark your calendar for the City of Oxnard's Earth Day celebration--Saturday April 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Downtown Plaza Park. They'll be plenty of family activities, live music, great food and Earth Day displays. Admission is free. The City of Oxnard will also be giving away four-quart bags of Agromin's organic compost.

Our compost is made from the organic materials collected from residents and businesses. The grass clippings and leaves you put in your green waste containers last month may now be turned into compost you pick up at Earth Day! Make sure to come early to get your bag of compost.

  • EARTHS Kids Learning About Organics Recycling
    Thursday, March 24, 2016 at

  • Second graders from EARTHS Magnet School in Newbury Park recently visited Agromin's Oxnard facility to learn firsthand about organic recycling. EARTHS (Environmental Academy of Research Technology & Earth Sciences) has visited Agromin over the years as part of its 2nd grade curriculum.

The school was recently recognized as one of the National Wildlife Fund's Top 10 Eco-Schools and its flower gardens are certified as a wildlife habitat.

To keep the school's organic garden at its best, Agromin donated bags of potting soil to the school. Students are growing and cultivating plants in the school's native plant garden, a regional garden that focuses on the four regions of California (coast, mountain, desert and valley), a pollinator garden, a vegetable and herb garden and a Rainbow Peace garden.
