Agromin is fielding a baseball team in the nonprofit Jim Colborn Baseball League
. The season started in June. The teams are made up of players 16 years of age and older with the
desire to go to college.
While the league is competitive and fun for the
participants, it also gives players the opportunity to earn college scholarship
money. Each player submits an essay describing his college financial need.
completed, the winning player essays are eligible for various scholarships from
a pool of $3,500.00 for college expenses. Applicants must play at least seven
games during the season to qualify
and plan to attend college in the fall.
Our own Dave Green is coach of Team Agromin. Dave coached
his son's Little League teams, traveling teams and all-star teams over the
years. His son now plays for the Academy of Art University so Dave knows how to
get the most from his players.
Go Team Agromin!
